Woohoo…Sunday dinner was edible…and no civilians were found food poisoned! haha…
There weren’t many chances that I would actually deal with meat…I find it so yucky having to clean the bloody piece of meat. But tell me what to do when I am so in love with this carnivorous meat-eater! Since mum was not in a healthy state to cook, i sorta stole the opportunity to own the kitchen for a bit. =P my main dish was a traditional French dish, Cog Au Vin (chicken cooked in wine):
Cog Au Vin
I wouldn’t say it tasted amazing but no doubt it was not too bad, or at least it was edible and the plate’s empty at the end of the day! it’s something very different that we would never have anything like that at home since mum n dad didn’t quite like to change their taste palette. Well, at least, Ricky liked it! =P
The main was complemented with some other sides; a plain creamy mashed potato, a fresh green salad with lime-honey dressing and fried spaghetti.
Clockwise from top left: Salad, Mashed Potato, Cog Au Vin, Fried Spaghetti
Thank you so much for my food tasters of the day: Ricky, Mum & Dad (although they didn’t quite like the taste of red wine but they DID tried a little *grin*), my lil’ bro, Aunty Fun and lil’ cousin Ivan. *phew*…loads more practices needed!
