Yay~ It’s Chinese New Year again…this year is rather quiet and kinda lack of the “proper” environment for the season. Remembering the days where the streets were filled up with red lanterns with shops and houses all well decorated with angpow packets and plum flowers and big colourful peonies and not forgetting the loud noises from the fire crackers all…missing those days.
HOWEVER, my family and I had some memorable events just days before the CNY. My third sister had her traditional wedding ceremony on the 29th day of the last month in the lunar calendar! Yups, the same sister who had her ROM in Singapore last year. (An extra red packet this year =P). Last few days were really tiring an exhausting. Not only we had to prepare all the stuff for the big day, we still had to decorate our house, ushering the year of Ox! Whow…glad everything turned out perfectly! Will definitely post up the wedding pictures once they’re ready! Meanwhile, I’m just gonna boast a lil’ on the food again~ kakaka…
CNY eve, we had our reunion dinner, this time a rather big crowd as my Aunty and her family came back from KL to join us this year! It’s always nice to have the family members to sit together for a home cooked meal. I have always enjoyed the time we slowly savor our food and have a good time catching up with each other.
From left to right: my bro (Khinfoong), cousin (hanwen), Uncle Vincent, Aunty Mee Heong, cousin (XienWen), ME, Daddy, Mummy, new bro-in-law (HeeVoon), LaiKuan, Eldest sis (LaiKein) and husband (Andy)
Reunion lunch
First day of CNY, we were all dressed up with new clothes, getting well prepared for open house visitations. We started our day with vegetarian dishes for brunch and off we go to some relatives’ houses. The rest of the day was just simply filled up with more visitations and chilling out with my family!

Can’t wait for tomorrow!
